At FYR Medical, we set out to transform the way surgical teams see and operate — harnessing cutting-edge light field technology to create a next-generation head-mounted display for medical professionals.

After three years of focused R&D, we've built a working prototype that proves our vision: a system that enhances depth perception, improves visual fidelity, and offers full extended reality (XR) capabilities in the surgical field. It's a powerful proof of concept that demonstrates the potential to reshape surgical visualization across medical, dental, and veterinary applications.

While the technology is solid and the path to a market-ready product is clear, the current funding environment — especially for early-stage, hardware-based innovations — has proven uniquely challenging. Our previous lead investor was acquired by a larger industry player and, as a result, we've seen a change in investment support at a critical time.

In light of this, FYR Medical is now actively exploring strategic options, including a potential acquisition. We believe our technology platform — with its unique IP, engineering progress, and compelling use cases — offers significant value to partners looking to accelerate innovation in medical visualization.
